Adaptive Recreation is the 3rd critical piece of Triumph's "circle of care" and I bet it's the program many of you are missing the most right now. I know I am.
Our sports activities give us a chance to push the limits of our abilities, improving our fitness, health and wellness. They also provide incredible opportunities to connect with others in the community in a fun and family-friendly environment where everyone can play together.
The stories below highlight some of the amazing events we held earlier this year.
Although we're all currently stuck at home for the most part, I'm super excited to announce our biggest event of the year has been moved into your living room - Zooming to you this Saturday at 2pm.

Valley Go! Ropes Course
You can fly! One of our newest ValleyGo! events is the Ropes Course, an adaptive recreation clinic we hosted at Cal State Northridge.
Wheelchair users are able to reach new heights with this high-octane obstacle course that towers 35 feet off the ground! This aerial adventure is designed to give you an exhilarating yet challenging experience all bundled into one.

Snow Skiing in Big Bear
Hit the Slopes! Triumph took 20 skiers to the Big Bear mountain to snow ski with United States Adapted Recreation Center.
Their expert ski instructors helped our Triumph Family take on the mountain, shredding the slopes with style and speed.
You won't believe what you can achieve when you give it a try!

Lake View Terrace Youth Program
Teach'em Young! One of Triumph's passions is to educate kids about people living with disabilities, inclusiveness, and dealing with life's challenges.
We find that sports are the perfect way to learn.
We host quad rugby clinics to open children's eyes to what someone in a wheelchair experiences.
It's always fun to watch them try to push a wheelchair for the first time, not quite knowing what to expect. Then they start playing and succeeding and soon they feel like they're rock stars. By the end of the game, their arms are ready to fall off from the upper body workout.
It's fun, educational, and inclusive. They'll never look at a wheelchair user the same way again.
