{"id":10979,"date":"2022-11-15T17:56:42","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T01:56:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shayneletford.com\/test-triumph\/uncategorized\/tpsstudy\/"},"modified":"2024-04-22T00:54:57","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T07:54:57","slug":"tpsstudy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumph-foundation.org\/es\/news\/tpsstudy\/","title":{"rendered":"The Perfect Step Study"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2><strong>What is this?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theperfectstep.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Perfect Step \u201cTPS\u201d<\/a> is collaborating with Kaiser Permanente to develop a multiyear study on the benefits of participation in activity-based therapy programs in the chronic (long-term) stage of recovery.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the study is to collect the necessary data to take back to insurance companies that will validate the effectiveness and benefits of exercise post injury and diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the study is being used to determine the effect that Exercise, using the TPS methodology has on overall quality of life and reduction of secondary complications in a Spinal Cord injured person.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully with the outcomes from this study it will lead insurance companies to consider and begin reimbursing training sessions and other medical based needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The survey has four different parts. Each part asked the same questions with just a different prompt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Part one:<\/strong> how did you feel seven days prior to leaving the hospital...<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part two<\/strong>: how did you feel six months after you left the hospital...<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part three:<\/strong> how did you feel one year after leaving the hospital...<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part four:<\/strong> how did you feel two years after leaving the hospital...Each survey should not take you more than 10 \u2013 12 minutes to do. In total it will be about 40 minutes to complete all four, on the high end.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><strong>\u2022 Each participant can only complete one round of surveys for compensation<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Must complete all four rounds of the survey to be considered for compensation<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Must be a SPINAL CORD INJURY and have NOT participated for at least multiple years in physical therapy<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 TPS will be taking up to 50 participants. Note: It is okay if you participated in outpatient therapy at a traditional rehab therapy center. However, we are looking for individuals that did not participate in therapy thereafter.
