Independence at the Front Door: Marianne\u2019s Triumph Is Powered by YOU<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"\"Marianne Smith\u2019s life took a sudden turn after a planned spinal surgery resulted in unexpected complications, leaving her with paralysis in one leg and limited mobility in the other. While recovering at California Rehabilitation Institute, Marianne connected with Triumph Foundation\u2014and she\u2019s been an active part of our community ever since, attending support groups and even volunteering at events.<\/p>\n

As a realtor and devoted community member, Marianne has refused to let her injury define her. She\u2019s found ways to stay engaged and connected\u2014but one barrier remained: her own front door.<\/p>\n

With her current double-door system and a multi-step entryway, Marianne couldn\u2019t independently leave her home in her wheelchair. Two portable ramps and an inaccessible door made walking her service dog or visiting neighbors nearly impossible without help.<\/p>\n

Thanks to YOU<\/em>, that all changed.<\/p>\n

Through the Keep Moving Forward Grant, Triumph was able to\u00a0 help Marianne replace her front door with a wider, accessible option and redesign her porch for smoother access\u2014eliminating the ramps altogether. These changes will give her back one of life\u2019s greatest freedoms: independence.<\/p>\n
