Home for Christmas

How one young woman was able to make it home for the holidays.

As you read this, we’re wrapping up the last of our Christmas events. We held parties for people in 15 hospitals across SoCal, and did one-on-one visits at 3 more. I know what it’s like to spend Christmas in the hospital, so I know how encouraging it is to the people we serve that we come bringing gifts, goodies resources, and tons of Christmas joy.

We help people in so many ways. I want to share with you a story of one young woman who we were able to help get home from the hospital just in time for Christmas.

You’ve got a lot of worthy options for your year-end giving. I hope Eila’s story will encourage you to support Triumph.

Eila's Story

Meet Eila. She’s an active and happy teenager who has all the same dreams and aspirations as anyone her age would. In November, she was in a car accident suffering a T-12 spinal cord injury.

A group of our Ambassadors visited Eila at Huntington Hospital to bring her with a Care Basket full of resources that will help during her recovery, and a bunch of goodies to sweeten up her hospital stay. Their visit gave her hope and understanding that her life is worth living.

Like most people in her situation, Eila was thinking about home. Her house was not accessible and she worried she wouldn’t be able to get in and out of her home or have access to the bathroom. And insurance wouldn’t cover what she needed.

So Triumph stepped in giving her a proper wheelchair and installing ramps. Eila was discharged last week and she’s thrilled to be home for the holidays!

Please Give

It’s stories like Eila’s that keep us moving forward and working hard for people with spinal cord injuries or disorders. We want to do so much more, but we need your help.

YOUR support will help Triumph Foundation help Eila, and hundreds of others just like her. Please gife to support Triumph today at www.SupportTriumph.org
