Wheelchair Sports Festival FAQ

What: Triumph Foundation's Wheelchair Sports Festival is April 27th & 28th featuring wheelchair hockey, basketball, quad rugby, racquetball, handcycling, curling, WCMX, pickle ball, throwing/rowing, SCUBA, Youth Camp, dodgeball, art/music/dance, resource fair, and more! We will have coaches and instructors to teach people the games.

Our goal is to introduce wheelchair sports to more people, increase inclusiveness and awareness of people living with disabilities in the community, and have FUN!

When: Saturday April 27, 2019 & Sunday April 28, 2019

Registration: 8am | Opening Ceremonies: 9am | Ends: 5pm

Sunday:
Registration: 8am | Games: 9am | Closing Ceremonies: 2pm

Where: Santa Clarita Sports Complex Gymnasium

Who can play: Everyone can play. All inclusive. Fun for the whole family.

Equipment: We will have 30+ extra sport wheelchairs and all the equipment for people to use.

Register: Register for FREE. Registration will also be at the door. Participants under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian sign release in person at the event.

T-Shirts: First 50 wheelchair users to arrive and register on Saturday will receive a FREE event T-shirt. Triumph T-shirts on sale too.

Youth Camp: If you are under the age of 18, use a wheelchair (or have a mobility impairment) and want to experience our event with other kids and families, you can register for Youth Camp. You will get a free tee shirt, a chaperoned tour of the event, designated time to play each sport, and have lots of FUN.

Limited to first 12 to sign up. Family and friends will get to play too.

ALL Persons under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the premises and participating in Triumph Foundation's Wheelchair Sports Festival in all it's activities.

Lunch: Lunch and snacks will be available both Saturday & Sunday. $5 lunch special. FREE for challenged athletes.

Awards Ceremony: Be sure to join us the whole weekend, we will be presenting award prizes for Athlete of the Year, Most Improved, Outstanding Volunteer and more! The Awards Ceremony will be held at 2pm on Sunday.

Transportation: Access Paratransit does NOT go to Santa Clarita. We suggest taking the train to Santa Clarita Metrolink station located nearby at 22122 Soledad Canyon Rd. Santa Clarita, CA 91350. Buses will pick up participants to bring to event. Must RSVP [email protected]
