Rolling Forward: Aaron’s Path to Healing
Aaron has always been a hardworking man, putting in long 12-hour shifts as a lead machine operator to provide for his young daughter.
But in 2022, everything changed. One night, three men broke into his home. In a desperate attempt to protect his 3-year-old, Aaron leapt into action to defend her - and was shot. The traumatic event left him with a T10 spinal cord injury - paralyzed - and suddenly adapting to a new way of life.
Since then, Aaron has faced each day with resilience. Drawing on his strong work ethic, he has pushed forward in his recovery and remained devoted to caring for his daughter. But the wheelchair he was given wasn’t the right fit. It caused constant back pain and made daily movement even harder, adding unnecessary challenges to an already difficult journey.
This is where Triumph Family makes a difference. Thanks to generous supporters like YOU, Aaron received a properly fitted wheelchair through our Keep Moving Forward Grant.
With this essential equipment, he’s reclaiming the independence and comfort he deserves. It’s given him a chance to move forward with strength, confidence, and less pain. Most importantly, he’s able to take better care of his family with dignity.
Your support fuels moments like this every day. Together, we’re changing lives and reminding people like Aaron that they’re not alone on this journey.
