As you can imagine, it is hard for anyone to be in the hospital after suffering a Spinal Cord Injury, but it is particularly difficult when you are in the hospital for the holidays.
Every holiday season, Triumph goes to over a dozen hospitals all over Southern California to visit people who've recently become paralyzed to deliver Care Baskets full of resources, have a party, and we bring a message of hope.
This year we'll be doing contactless new injury patient care basket drop-off to ensure these patients receive invaluable brochures, gifts and literature about living with a spinal cord injury and moving forward in their recovery.
Although we will not be visiting hospitals, we will be hosting several Christmas Outreach parties with our SCI Life Series groups. We'll have food, treats, and enjoying fellowship this holiday season.
These meetings will be more of a social time, rather than our normal group discussion. It will be a great time to reconnect with old friends and is usually a reunion of sorts.
