A Family's Momentum is Just Getting Started!

Just a few weeks ago, a devastating car accident left the Machado family in a state of shock and despair. The accident resulted in a paralyzing injury for young Eli, forever altering the course of their lives.

We visited 10-year-old Eli, in the hospital bringing a backpack full of goodies and resources to help answer his parents' burning questions. It's during this first crucial contact where our ambassadors offer that initial spark of hope for families facing a paralysis diagnosis.

As our relationship with the family progressed, we provided Eli a fitted wheelchair, granting him newfound mobility.

"I got this new wheelchair today, and it's much easier and much faster for me to push," said Eli.

Additionally, we invited the family to a handcycling event where they connected with others who have overcome similar circumstances.

Because of your generosity, Triumph can remind families like the Machados that they're not alone, igniting courage, inspiration and momentum. This is what Triumph is all about.
