Independence at the Front Door: Marianneโs Triumph Is Powered by YOU
Marianne Smithโs life took a sudden turn after a planned spinal surgery resulted in unexpected complications, leaving her with paralysis in one leg and limited mobility in the other. While recovering at California Rehabilitation Institute, Marianne connected with Triumph Foundationโand sheโs been an active part of our community ever since, attending support groups and even volunteering at events.
As a realtor and devoted community member, Marianne has refused to let her injury define her. Sheโs found ways to stay engaged and connectedโbut one barrier remained: her own front door.
With her current double-door system and a multi-step entryway, Marianne couldnโt independently leave her home in her wheelchair. Two portable ramps and an inaccessible door made walking her service dog or visiting neighbors nearly impossible without help.
Thanks to YOU, that all changed.
Through the Keep Moving Forward Grant, Triumph was able toย help Marianne replace her front door with a wider, accessible option and redesign her porch for smoother accessโeliminating the ramps altogether. These changes will give her back one of lifeโs greatest freedoms: independence.
YOU are the reason Marianne is moving forwardโstronger and more self-reliant than ever. Thank you for being part of the Triumph Family.
