Motivation Monday: Sabrina’s Ramp to Independence
July 14, 2025 News, Noteworthy, SCI, Triumph Outreach UpdateOur Gala is coming up on August 7th, and each week leading up to it, we’re highlighting incredible people like Sabrina. Your support makes all of this possible and means the world to those we serve.
A Ramp to Freedom: How YOU Helped Sabrina Move Forward
After a devastating car accident shortly after her 23rd birthday, Sabrina’s life changed in an instant. But if you meet her, you’ll quickly see she’s not one to sit still. Between physical therapy, crafting resin art to earn extra income, traveling, and even trying adaptive kayaking, Sabrina keeps moving forward with determination and heart.
Still, Sabrina faced a major barrier: she couldn’t safely get in and out of her home without help. Relying on loved ones was taking a toll—and she was worried about being stuck when no one was around to help. Her dream of independence felt just out of reach.
Thanks to the support of our #TriumphFamily, Sabrina was approved for a Keep Moving Forward Grant to receive a ramp. This simple but life-changing piece of equipment will give her safe, independent access to her home—and the freedom to keep pursuing her goals without waiting on others.
YOU made this happen.
Every ramp, wheelchair, or supply we provide is powered by your compassion and generosity. Together, we’re building a world where no one is left behind.
Thank you for helping people like Sabrina keep moving forward.
Make more stories like this possible
We invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening at our Triumph Foundation 2025 Gala, taking place on Thursday, August 7th at the iconic Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
This year’s theme, Rebuilding Lives, Redefining Strength, speaks to the very heart of our work. Every day, Triumph Foundation meets people in the immediate aftermath of spinal cord injury—when they are at their most vulnerable—and walks alongside them on the journey toward rebuilding a fulfilling, independent life.
The Gala is more than a celebration; it’s a vital part of how we continue to provide critical support, resources, and hope to the community we serve. Guests will enjoy craft cocktails, gourmet appetizers, live entertainment, and both a silent and an all-new live auction experience—all in support of Triumph’s year-round programs.
We hope you’ll be part of this special night—a gathering of people who believe in resilience, community, and the power to transform lives.
