Brina’s Journey Back to the Driver’s Seat – Motivation Monday

Motivational Monday is all about celebrating resilience, determination, and the power of perseverance—and today’s story embodies all of that and more. We’re inspired by incredible individuals who turn life’s challenges into opportunities, and this week we’re shining a spotlight on one of our Triumph Foundation grant recipients. Their journey reminds us that with the right support, community, and mindset, anything is possible.

Brina’s Journey Back to the Driver’s Seat

When Brina experienced a spinal stroke in July 2023, her world changed overnight. As a C8 quadriplegic, everyday tasks became complex challenges yet her determination to stay active stayed strong. She discovered adaptive sports through Triumph Foundation’s clinics, but getting to those activities safely and without pain was a daily struggle.

Brina relied on portable hand controls and a flat spinner knob just to drive. They were difficult to grip, caused constant pain, and weren’t reliably safe. She knew she needed permanent hand controls to drive independently, comfortably, and confidently.

Your support made it possible for Brina to receive the proper hand controls she needs, helping her move closer to her goals: driving without pain and getting her wheelchair in and out of her car independently. You’ve helped her reclaim a critical piece of freedom.

If stories like Brina’s inspire you, stay involved. Your generosity puts independence within reach for people rebuilding their lives after paralysis. Together, you keep them moving forward.
