Carpe Diem!

Andrew Skinner October 9, 2019 News, Triumph Outreach Update, Upcoming Events, Videos

Have you ever heard the phrase "Carpe Diem?" It means to "Seize the Day."

After surviving a catastrophic injury, it teaches you that life can change in an instant, to see beyond the petty to what's really important, and live each day to its fullest, and to live each day to its fullest, taking advantage of opportunities as often as they come, and not waiting until tomorrow to take hold of your life.

It's no secret life is always going in fast motion, and the speed of life can feel overwhelming.

But as the great philosopher, Ferris Bueller once said “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

We're always in a battle against time to make each day count. That's one of the reasons that we hold so many events for the Triumph community. We want to provide as many "Carpe Diem Moments" as we can so that people can do exactly that; to seize the day.

This newsletter is a quick snapshot of all the "Carpe Diem Moments" your support makes possible.

I hope you enjoy seeing the way your gifts help create moments like these. And be sure to mark your calendars for two important events that are coming up fast:

Over the Line Wheelchair Baseball Tournament October 19

Adaptive Sports Festival November 9

Superheroes Triumph!

From start to finish, our 3rd annual "Superheroes Triumph" 5K was a "SUPER" success! Heroes came from everywhere to make quality of life a reality for people in the disabled community!

You gotta see our friends who took #thechallenge, and rose up out of their wheelchairs to walk across the finish line!

Spinal Injury Games

"Seize the Ball!" Triumph's wild and wheelie sports volunteers had an awesome time running the quad rugby clinic at Rancho Los Amigos' annual Spinal Injury Games. That's how we roll!
