Reflection with Gratitude – Christmas Outreach Recap
January 20, 2026 News, Noteworthy, SCI, Triumph Outreach Update
What are you grateful for? As we begin this new year, we’re reflecting on a powerful close to 2025, and feeling grateful for community members like you who make this work possible.
Triumph hosted 15 gatherings this holiday season, in hospitals, rehab centers, and community spaces, reaching 430 individuals and families! Many were just then adjusting to life after a paralyzing injury, illness, or disorder.
And because of supporters like you, Triumph raised over $96,000 in year-end gifts from 309 donors!
That's why we begin 2026 with gratitude. We're deeply thankful for your belief in our mission.
Below are stories from a few of the newly paralyzed individuals we met during our Christmas Outreach. Their stories reflect the true grit and heart of the Triumph Family, and the purpose behind everything we do.
Stories of Grit

Craig's Strength
During our Christmas Party at Sharp Rehab, Triumph Ambassador Charles visited Craig and his wife, Laurie, in the hospital where he recovers from a spinal stroke. Now in his 70s and a proud grandfather, Craig has already regained strong movement in one leg, with continued progress ahead.
Thanks to supporters like you, Craig received a Care Pack from Triumph, a powerful reminder that he isn’t facing this journey alone, and that connection matters more than anyone can imagine.
Jocelyn's Hope
Jocelyn’s life changed suddenly when she began experiencing weakness, numbness, and loss of coordination. Diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disorder, she is now navigating life with paralysis at a young age.
We met Jocelyn at our Cal Rehab Christmas Party, where she received a Triumph Care Pack filled with resources and support. Today, we’re helping her find community, inspiration, and the equipment she needs to keep moving forward. No matter the cause of her paralysis, the Triumph Family is here for her..
Julio's Journey
After sustaining a spinal cord injury while working on a remote job site in Alaska, Julio found himself unexpectedly moving thousands of miles from home to Casa Colina for recovery. Triumph Ambassador Daniel delivered a Care Pack to remind Julio that he is not alone on this journey.
As he begins this new chapter, away from family and friends, he has Triumph here to support his efforts to rebuild his life and redefine strength and resilience.
2025 was our most impactful year yet, with a record 271 new patients visited and Care Packs delivered.
In 2026, our target remains the same: to assist every newly-paralyzed individual in Southern California.
Will you help?
Your generosity ensures that every newly injured kid, adult, and veteran we connect with (there will be hundreds more this year) will receive the care, resources, and support they need to navigate their challenges and rebuild their lives with strength and hope.
We rely on your continued gifts, prayers, and support to serve more individuals and families this year.
Thank you for being part of the Triumph Family.
Keep moving forward.
