Triumph Handcycling Clinics
This summer we will be visiting a different city each month to hold our handcycling clinics. We bring out 18 bikes, set up a base camp, and let everyone ride. Family and friends are welcome!

Open-Play Murderball
All summer, Triumph is holding open-play rugby with the Northridge Knights. We have lots of extra sport wheelchairs for you to use to play this high impact, full contact sport.
The gym is located at Lake View Terrace Gymnasium 11075 Foothill Blvd. Lake View Terrace, CA 91321. No experience necessary. If you have ever been interested in trying this game, this is your opportunity!

Wheelchair Curling Clinic
Sunday, July 15th Triumph Foundation is partnering with Hollywood Curling to host a special clinic on the sport of curling at the Ice Station located at 27745 North Smyth Dr., Valencia, CA 91355.
It is only $10 to participate. Scholarships available.

Angel City Games
Angel City's annual multi-sport track & field competition is June 21st - 24th at UCLA.
Participants can compete at Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Javelin, Discus, ShotPut, and wheelchair basketball. Plus there will be a vendor village.
Open for novices and competitive athletes.

Life Rolls On
LRO is holding their signature They Will Surf Again (TWSA) events on June 2nd at Santa Monica; August 25th at Huntington Beach; and September 15th at La Jolla Shores. Their adaptive surf clinics helps disabled people ride waves.
Then on July 7th they host the They Will Skate Again event at Venice Beach. This once a year skating clinic includes adaptive skating workshop, pro skate exhibition and an adaptive skate competition, featuring amazing prizes.

Junior Wheelchair Sports Camp
Cottage Rehab Center's Junior Wheelchair Sports Camp is July 23rd - 27th in Santa Barbara. The FREE Junior Wheelchair Sports Camp provides sport and recreation skill development for children, youth, and young adults between the ages of 6 to 19 years old who can use a wheelchair to participate in sports.
Activities at the camp range from beginner to advanced wheelchair sports, including rugby, basketball, tennis, hand cycling, volleyball, swimming, kayaking, SCUBA diving, tennis, climbing wall, roller sled hockey, ropes course, decathlon, lacrosse and more. Watch video

Walking Trout Camping Trip
Walking Trout Foundation is taking a group of campers with disabilities on a three-night FREE camping trip to Mammoth Mountain on August 4th - 7th
You don't need any outdoors experience, and the only piece of gear you will need to bring is a sleeping bag. They will be providing food, fishing poles, tents, cots, and plenty of lame jokes. They will also provide transportation, including a standard passenger van for people who can transfer from their chair to a seat, and a lift van that will allow three people to stay in their chairs during the drive.

Land Meets Sea Sports Camp
Casa Colina hosts their annual Land Meets Sea Sports Camp is August 14th - 16th in Long Beach, CA. This three-day event will feature water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, hand cycling, wheelchair sports and much more. Triumph will be helping run their rugby, hockey, and land based sports.

USARC
In July and August, United States Adaptive Recreation Center in Big Bear Lake hosts adaptive water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, sailing and fishing programs.
Summer sessions are either single day or overnight at accessible campgrounds.

Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra
DSES summer programs at Mammoth Mountain and the surrounding areas offers a wealth of recreational activities. Programs include kayaking, rock climbing, camping, hiking, cycling/mountain bike rides, horseback riding and some enjoyable outdoor adventure learning activities. All summer activities are scheduled individually and are specific to personal interests and capabilities.

San Diego has many wonderful events and activities to take part in for people with disabilities. Here are some highlights:
FREE POWER BEACH WHEELCHAIR
• Take a free ride in a power-driven beach chair at Mission Beach

SUMMER CAMPS
Camp At The Bay
• Monday-Friday, July 9 - 13, 2018.
• Campers ages 10 to adult, with any disabilities
• Experience jet skiing, water skiing, tubing, sailing, kayaking, and more

Kidzone Summer Adventure Camp
• Monday-Friday, July 23 - 27, 2018.
• Campers ages 6 to 12, with any disabilities
• Visits fun spots around San Diego
• Costs include t-shirt, daily field trips, admission, and transportation
Camp Wet and Wild
• Monday-Friday, August 6 - 10, 2018.
• Campers ages 10-adult, with any disabilities
• Enjoy kayaking, surfing, games, crafts, and special visitors
• Camp meets at S. Mission Beach, N. Jetty Rd.

Junior Adaptive Sports Camp
San Diego's Junior Adaptive Sports Camp is July 16th - 21st featuring 15 different sports and unlimited fun!
At the camp, athletes learn the fundamentals of sports such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, archery, swimming, hand cycling, water tubing, water skiing, wheelchair soccer, rugby and much more. Athletes at camp are grouped by age and ability, and work with volunteers and sports counselors who share a passion for adaptive sports.

Jazz night at Bankers Hill Club
On Saturday June 30th come celebrate the rebirth of San Diego's best kept secret: the Bankers Hill Club! They have served people with disabilities for 88 years and is now opening its doors to the community and the best big band in town: the Gaslamp Quarter Jazz Orchestra!

Camp Discovery
Camp Discovery is August 15th - 19th in Empire, Colorado. This three-day ALL female camp is designed to teach women in wheelchairs physical fitness while creating lasting friendships with those who have had similar experiences and obstacles.
Camp activities combine holistic and physical wellness practices and are designed to help these women find a place of confidence, security, and self-acceptance.

RAMP Handcycling
Recreation Access Motivating People (RAMP) Handcycling conducts FREE hand cycling clinics in the Huntington Beach on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10am - 1pm. They have a variety of handcycles and adaptive cycles for you to use. Cyclists of all abilities are welcome to join.

Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP)
Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) is a non-profit organization working to improve the health, independence and social integration of people with physical disabilities through sports, fitness and recreation programs. BORP in Berkeley offers a number of competitive sports programs, as well as outdoor adventures, family outings and integrated cycling.

Northridge Knights teams practice wheelchair sports every week:
• Wheelchair Basketball practice is on Thursday from 6pm - 9pm.
• Quad Rugby practice is on Sunday from 12pm - 3pm.
• Wheelchair Tennis practice is on Saturday at Balboa Park.

Life Series Groups
Every week Triumph leads support groups, get-togethers, mixers, and outings for wheelchair users that meet all around Southern California. We call them Life Series Groups.
Each group is different and has its own personality. In addition to providing group support, many of them also do fun activities like go-kart racing, bowling, billiards, watch movies, eat at restaurants, feature live music, and have guest speakers and conversation topics.

Superheros Triumph 5K
On Saturday, September 15th we are holding our Superheroes Triumph! run, walk, & roll 5k in Van Nuys, CA!
No matter what your ability is, you are a hero to us! Our 5K will "pack a punch" in fun and ease with a fast, gentle rolling course.

Casino Night Fundraiser

Triumph's Let'em Roll Fundraiser is on Saturday July 28, 2018 at the Universal Hilton in Universal City. The event will feature Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament, Craps, Blackjack, and Roulette. It will also include prime rib dinner, music and a silent auction.
The event brings the entire community together for a night of fun and celebration of life.
This is our main source of funds to support our programs.
