BRING THE ACTION!

Andrew Skinner May 28, 2026 News, Noteworthy, Upcoming Events

Triumph is breaking down barriers and redefining whatโ€™s possible after paralysis โ€” and our 2026 Wheelchair Sports Festival is a perfect example of yourย impact in action.

We brought together 519 people for an unforgettable weekend celebrating adaptive sports, connection, and the power of possibility!

From the first game to the final high-five, the energy never slowed down.

Participants rolled onto the courts to play wheelchair hockey, basketball, rugby, tennis, pickleball, and baseball. The rodeo and boccia brought huge smiles, archery hit the bulls-eye, WCMX and fencing kept crowds cheering, and the dance, drum circle, and art workshop gave everyone a chance to express their creativity.

We watched athletes challenge themselves, families discover new ways to play together, and newly injured individuals see firsthand what is still possible. Many participants tried adaptive sports for the very first time โ€” others reconnected with activities they love.

Everyone left inspired with a new passion and a stronger sense of confidence and community.

Most importantly, it reminded us this event is about so much more than the sports.ย The Festival about freedom, friendship, independence, and belonging. When barriers are removed and people are given opportunities to connect โ€” ย incredible things happen.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors John Paul Mitchel Systems, Sam's Club, SoCal Gas, One Heart Behavior Health, LATLC,ย Payless Kitchens & Baths, Matia Mobility, and Sunrise Medical.

And to all our volunteers, coaches, and supporters who made this event possible. Your generosity and encouragement helped create life-changing experiences for so many people.

If youโ€™ve never been part of the Wheelchair Sports Festival before, we invite you to join us at our next event! Whether you participate, volunteer, sponsor, or simply come cheer people on, there is a place for everyone in the Triumph Family.

Together, we are proving that people with disabilities can be active, connected, and full of possibility.

Thank you for your support to make our Festival and events such a huge success โ€” we couldnโ€™t do it without you!
