Triumph declared 2021 as the year of The Comeback!  And there's some AMAZING events to get involved with this summer!!

Handcycling Clinic

Saturday, May 15th

Join us for a handcycling clinic in Valencia from 9am-3pm.

Open to the first ten participants who register.

Reserve your spot for $20 - cycles, lunch, and FUN included.

More handcycling, wheelchair rugby, and OTL baseball events will be announced soon.

Adaptive Shooting

June 13th 3pm

Apple Valley Gun Club and Triumph partnered to hold special adaptive shooting clinics for people with disabilities.

Participants will learn about gun safety, self-defense, marksmanship, and the sport of target shooting.

Our next clinic is on June 13th - register now for $30. Firearms, ammo, training, and lunch included.

Employment Achievement Award

Open now until June 30th

Triumph's Employment Assistance Program is our vocation initiative to help people in the SCI community overcome challenges to secure stable employment.

Applications for the Employment Achievement Award are now being accepted!

It provides up to $5,000 in funding to assist with efforts to return to work, start a business, or advance with your current employer.

 

 

Pandemic Support

Open now until May 31st

Triumph launched a special relief program to help people that are facing extraordinary hardship due to the pandemic.

For a limited time, support may be available for assistive technology, food and PPE, short-term housing expenses, and medical supplies.

 

 

Mental Health Awareness Month

Month of May and beyond

It's easy to try to 'stay strong', but for all involved, this is precisely the time when sharing real feelings with someone you trust is paramount.

Join us at our support groups and meet with one of our peer-mentor Ambassadors to connect with others who understand.

 

 

 

 

Wheelchair Tennis Camp

May 21-23

United States Tennis Association Wheelchair Tennis Camp will provide 2.5 days of tennis instruction & socially competitive point and match play at Dignity Health Sports Complex in Carson, CA.

The camp is limited due to local & facility COVID restrictions. They have set-up an application process and will choose 15 campers based on need, experience, and other logistical factors.

There will be another camp later this year to accommodate more players, so please don't be discouraged if you aren't selected for this event.

 

 

USARC Water Skiing & Fishing

July & August

Join the United States Adaptive Recreation Center in Big Bear Lake for wet and wild water skiing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, and fishing.

They have summer day sessions and overnight camping opportunities.

You'll have an AMAZING time!

Abilities Expo

October 29th - 31st

Come out to this FREE IN PERSON Abilities Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center to see us and the latest & greatest in adapted products and services.

The show is the go-to source for the community of people with disabilities, they families, seniors, veterans, and healthcare professionals. Discover ability-enhancing products and services.

Triumph will have a booth so come by and say hello!

Kelly Brush Foundation - Active Project

The Kelly Brush Foundation believes in the power of being active, independent, and free.

Check out their NEW Active Project! Built by and for people with spinal cord injuries. Building community around being active.

Join them and help them build a community to connect peers, adaptive sports opportunities, and resources!

Dance

Wheelchair Dancers Organization offers free adaptive dance classes.

Bring the family, invite a friend or join us on your own!  Classes are geared for all abilities and all ages and have been designed to create a welcoming, approachable space for everyone.

The Rollettes are women empowering women with disabilities to live boundlessly and shift perspectives through dance.

Dance For All Bodies empowers individuals and communities through dance.

They offering a variety of virtual dance classes, including contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and salsa.

Surfing

September 9th - 12th

Adaptive surfing history will be made again at the 4th Annual US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships in Oceanside, CA

Hosted by Stoke for Life Foundation, this event is now three days of elite world class adaptive surfing.

Come watch the best of the best in adaptive surfing compete for their piece of the prize money.

This event will show competitive adaptive surfing at its BEST.

Get Moving

Disabled Sports USA and Adaptive Sports USA merged to become the premiere adaptive sport coalition, called Move United - and Triumph is a proud chapter!

Our website Exchange pairs people who are in need of adapted equipment & supplies with people who have items to donate.
