The cornerstone of Triumph Foundation is educating people who are newly disabled. We provide resources and referrals to help equip people to achieve greater quality of life.
Triumph Ambassadors give referrals through the distribution of our Resource Handbook that provides information on where to find and receive necessary goods and services.
This online version is an extensive list of excellent products and services available to people in the disabled community. It covers many relevant topics including adapted vehicles, medical supplies, wheelchairs, housing, and support groups.
Explore these pages to locate great people and companies who care about you and enjoy serving the needs of the disability community.
Support Groups
In light of social distancing efforts, we’ve revised our tactics to continue making connections with injured people and keep the community connected by holding support groups on Zoom web conferences.
Follow us to keep informed about our SCI newly injured outreach, inspirational stories, invaluable resources and our adaptive recreation events.
This closed Facebook community that supports all those who have suffered a SCI, their caregiver(s), immediate family members (father, mother brother or sister), close friends that the injured member approves and we also include all those who have had their spinal cords compromised in many other ways. We also accept medical professionals or medical students in the field of SCI if we deem it appropriate.
This closed Facebook group is about sharing your experience living with a Spinal Cord Injury. New injuries happen everyday in the United States. Together we can help each other with questions about wheelchairs, catheters, bowel programs, intimacy, sports and recreation, travel, parking, ADA, research, rehab and everything else related to our Spinal Cord Injury.

Amputee support groups provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals living with limb loss or limb difference as well as their family members. They are an invaluable place to connect with others who have overcome similar challenges and setbacks.
If you are looking to find a support group near you, check out United Spinal Association. Most of their Chapters located across the United States have support groups.
When an individual acquires a spinal cord injury, it has an impact on the entire family. Parents have to quickly learn to navigate the confusing world of medical care, health insurance, caregiving and financial strain when their child is diagnosed with a SCI.
Backbones Parents of SCI virtual meet-up will offer a space to learn from and support other parents going through the ups and downs that come with spinal cord injuries. Join them the third Thursday of every other month.
The Reeve Foundation’s Living with Paralysis support groups provide an opportunity for members to connect with others who understand what they are going through and to gain support, insight and guidance. Separate groups are held for individuals living with quadriplegia, those living with paraplegia, and family members/caregivers so that meetings can focus on the unique needs and challenges of each. Group meetings are led by two facilitators: a mental health professional and a peer with lived experience. Each meeting begins with discussion of a topic related to living with paralysis or caregiving followed by an open forum conversation among group members.

Spinal Network now offers a Family Caregiver Support Group with Richard Green, LCSW. This group is for family members who are also the caregiver. Family members, often times, are left out as they grapple with what they need to do to adequately prepare the home, deal with the unexpected while managing the complex emotional stress in supporting their newly injured love one.
