Adaptive Recreation is making a COMEBACK

As we continue counting off the inspiring comebacks that we see every day in 2021, we're especially thrilled that our adaptive recreation is coming back with a vengeance. We're back, Baby!

In May, we held an epic handcycle ride that brought together a group of excited athletes who were more than ready to get out, get pumped and get rolling. Riders of all ages and abilities took to the beautiful riding trails that criss-cross the Santa Clarita Valley.

Watch the highlight video below:

"Get out. Get pumped. Get rolling!"

But it's not just handcycling that is ramping back up in 2021. We've already held multiple adaptive sports events in the mountains, deserts and cities around Southern California. We caught the tail end of the ski season cruising through the powder with the wind in our hair on Big Bear Mountain with USARC.

We hit the target at Apple Valley Gun Club's adaptive shooting clinic where our shooters learned about gun safety, self-defense, and the sport of target shooting.

And who doesn't love a rugby comeback? Rugby and baseball seasons are just kicking in and so are our wheelchair sports clinics to help you be the best on the field.

"The best is yet to come!"

So what's stopping you from getting out there again? Is your comeback just an adaptive sports event away?

We believe that exercise is medicine. An active and healthy lifestyle is a crucial part of every individual's life, but particularly in the life of a person with a disability - and staying fit is essential to recovery and to avoiding secondary complications.

So we're going to make these events even more available to you this year and into the future.

KHTS owner Carl Goldman (pictured above), attended the handcycling clinic, this was his first Triumph Foundation event since being confined to a wheelchair. “It really gave me a sense of accomplishment to know I could master riding a bicycle,” Goldman said. “I experienced a real sense of freedom. Bonding and sharing challenges with other riders was extremely therapeutic. This is the first of many Triumph Foundation events I will attend.”
