Our Grant Program in Action
marzo 23, 2026 News, NoteworthyThe right support at the right time can change everything. Wouldnโt you agree?
Thatโs exactly what happens every day through Triumphโs Keep Moving Forward Grant Program.
Applications come in from all across the United States --ย from small towns to bustling cities --ย each one carrying a story of resilience and a request for the right support to move forward and get back in action.
Behind each applicant is someone facing obstacles most people never see -ย a step to enter their home, a vehicle they canโt drive, equipment they simply canโt afford. And every day, because of you, those barriers begin to fall.
This program is one of the clearest reflections of your impact. Not just in one community. Not just in one state. But coast to coast.
Take a look at just a few of the lives youโve helped change.
Stories of Impact
Donald - Georgia

Donaldโs life changed in an instant when he fell while climbing the stairs in his home and sustained a C4-5 spinal cord injury. Already managing multiple health conditions of his own โ he also cares for a special needs son, this injury brought a new set of unimaginable challenges โ dealing with paralysis in his arms and legs.
Donaldโs determination never wavered, heโs making progress in rehab, but his family realized their home needed significant modifications to be wheelchair accessible. Without these changes, Donald couldnโt return home safely.
Thanks to your support of Triumph Foundation, Donald received a Keep Moving Forward Grant to help modify his bathroom. He is now home with his family.
You are the reason Triumph Foundation can continue saying โyesโ to people like Donald.
Jesus - California
Jesus is a father of six and a stepfather of fiveโa man who built his life around hard work and providing for his family. That routine changed overnight after a motocross accident left him with a T4 complete spinal cord injury. Suddenly, the man who was always on the move found himself unable to drive, get to appointments, or help his wife manage the busy life of raising a large family.
For Jesus, transportation wasnโt just about getting from place to placeโit was about getting his life back.
Through the Keep Moving Forward Grant, you helped provide the hand controls Jesus needed to drive again. The impact was immediate. With his independence restored, he was able to spend time with his children, return to the gym, coach youth soccer, and begin taking classes toward a new career.
In a heartfelt note to Triumph Foundation, Jesus wrote:
โThank you so much Triumph Foundation for lighting the spark I desperately needed.โ
Jenny - Arkansas

When Jenny was just 16 years old, a car accident left her with a T4/T5 complete spinal cord injury. Today, sheโs a single mom doing everything she can to create a stable, loving life for her child while navigating the challenges of paralysis.
Recently, Jenny moved into a new apartment that is mostly accessibleโbut the bathroom includes a standard bathtub. Without a sturdy transfer tub bench, something as routine as taking a shower became stressful and unsafe. The risk of slipping or getting hurt made a simple daily task feel like a real obstacle.
Because of your support, that obstacle is being removed.
Through the Keep Moving Forward Grant, you are providing Jenny with a secure transfer tub bench that will allow her to shower safely and independently in her new home. Your generosity restores confidence, increases safety, and gives her one less thing to worry about as she focuses on being the best mom she can be.
Mirvais - California
After contracting polio as a child, Mirvais has never let paralysis define him. He built a life rooted in resilience, independence, and service. Now working on a college campus, while pursuing his doctoral degree - navigating the long distances across the school in his manual wheelchair has taken a serious toll on his shoulders, leading to chronic pain that threatened both his health and career.
To stay mobile and independent, Mirvais needed a power assist scooter attachment for his wheelchair.
He reached out to our Triumph Family for help, and now has that tool.
This equipment will allow him to preserve his physical health, stay active in his role, and continue working.
Mirvais is committed to uplifting others through education and work and is now cruising pain-free toward his goals.
Erica - Florida

Erica is a T6 incomplete paraplegic whose life changed after surviving a domestic violence incident. Today, she uses a wheelchair full-time and lives in a nursing facility, navigating both physical challenges and the emotional weight of rebuilding her life. Despite chronic pain and health complications, Erica stays determined - participating in therapy, stretching routines, and creative projects that help support her mental health.
One of the biggest barriers she faced was mobility. The wheelchair she currently uses is too wide for her body, with armrests and a backrest that make it difficult to move independently. It limits her ability to fully participate in therapy, daily activities, and the creative work that keeps her motivated.
Because of you, that has changed.
Through the Keep Moving Forward Grant, you helped Erica receive a properly fitted, lightweight foldable wheelchair designed for her needs. This new chair has improved her mobility, reduced physical strain, and made transportation much easier - opening the door to greater independence and opportunities for healing.
For Erica, this isnโt just equipment. Itโs a push toward stability, dignity, and the hope of one day rebuilding life with her daughter.
Sergio - California
Sergioโs life changed after a spinal cord injury left him paralyzed from the chest down. Since then, everyday tasks require determination and strength, especially pushing his wheelchair and staying physically active.
Despite the challenges, Sergio has remained committed to his health. He goes to the gym three times a week and works hard to stay strong, motivated, and positive. But maintaining that momentum isnโt always easy. Muscle spasms, circulation issues, and limited mobility can make it difficult to keep his body moving the way he wants to.
Sergio knew that a motorized passive assist exercise bike could make a meaningful difference - helping him exercise consistently, improve circulation, reduce spasms, and stay active even on days when getting to the gym isnโt possible.
Well, that opportunity is now within reach.
Through the Keep Moving Forward Grant, Sergio was provided with a motorized exercise bike that will help him stay active, healthy, and independent. Your generosity gives him another tool to strengthen his body and maintain the positive routine he has worked so hard to build.
When you support Triumph Foundation, you help people like Sergio keep moving forward - literally and figuratively.
Our Keep Moving Forward Grant program is more than just funding, it's making quality of life a reality.ย ย
Right now:
- Another application is already waiting.
- Another family is hoping for relief.
- Another individual is ready for the right tool to move forward.
In fact, we have two applications for vehicles that are currently being reviewed. Keep your eyes on our social media to see the moments when the "keys of independence" are handed over.
Your generosity ensures that when the next application arrives, we can say yes!
Thank you for being the reason someone can reclaim their life.
