"I feel really great and thankful!"

Remember Eli?

Last year we introduced you to Eli.ย His family was in a devastating car accident that left them in a state of shock and despair. The accident resulted in a paralyzing injury for young Eli, forever altering the course of their lives.

A Spark of Hope

ImageA few weeks after the accident, we visited 10 year old Eli in the hospital, bringing him a Care Backpack. It was full of goodies for him - and full of resources for his parents to help answer their burning questions. During this first crucial contact, our Ambassadors offered that initial spark of hope for families facing a paralysis diagnosis.

A New Beginning

Upon Eliโ€™s discharge from the hospital, he attended our handcycling clinic, where we provided him with a fitted, lightweight wheelchair, granting him newfound mobility.

Fast Forward To Today

Over the past year, our relationship with the Machado family has grown. They have connected with others who have overcome similar circumstances, helping them cope and reclaim their lives.

In April, Eli attended the Triumph Sports Festival, winning Rookie of the Year. There, he fell in love with handcycling.

A Joyful Surprise

After the event, Triumph was determined to help Eli get his own cycle to play outside with his sister and friends. At our handcycling clinic at the Rose Bowl in June, we surprised Eli with a handcycle of his own. Now, he's a happy and joyful young boy - having FUN!

Your Impact

Because of your generosity, Triumph can remind families like the Machados that they're not alone, igniting courage, inspiration, and momentum. This is what Triumph is all about.
