Gabriel’s Message – Momentum to Keep Moving Forward
julio 23, 2025 News, Noteworthy, YouTube"Life happens. You can't change things. All you can do is keep moving forward."
With Triumph's Gala only a short time away, I want to share with you another story of someone who may motivate you to join our movement by getting your tickets or making a gift.
Gabriel was snowboarding in Mammoth last year when a devastating fall fractured his C-6 vertebrae and left him paralyzed. In an instant, his world changed. And he didn’t know what came next.
In the hospital, the uncertainty was overwhelming. That’s when a Triumph Ambassador rolled into his room at California Rehabilitation Institute, offering mentorship and lived experience, encouragement, and a Care Pack full of hope. Their visit gave him more than resources, it gave Gabriel direction.
Like the hundreds of others our Ambassadors meet every year, they explained the rehab journey, shared personal insights, and connected him to a strong understanding support community — a network of people who get it.
With Triumph's support, Gabriel began to reclaim his life. He received power-assist wheels from Triumph that restored his mobility and confidence. Gabriel joined support groups that gave him strength, purpose, and friends. He even started playing adaptive sports, joining the fun as a competitor on the courts.
Today, Gabriel’s thriving. He’s on the move, traveling, connecting with others, and giving back by encouraging others the way he once was in the hospital.
Gabriel's words resonated with me — and I think they will with you too: "Life happens. You can’t change things. All you can do is keep moving forward."
Watch Gabriel’s story and see how your support makes a lasting difference.
I hope you're inspired, will join us at our Gala, and do your part in helping others turn tragedy into triumph.
Keep moving forward.
