Irma’s Momentum Story
octubre 21, 2024 News, Noteworthy, Upcoming Events, YouTube"I am so very grateful to be independent again!"
We're so excited for our Adaptive Sports Festival on November 2nd in Pasadena. It's going to be awesome - and we hope you join us!
You will have so much FUN and meet many amazing friends in our Triumph Family - like Irma. She has an incredible story we want to highlight for you.
Irma's Journey
Irma's has a rare neurological disorder that limits her ability to accomplish everyday activities.
But like so many of you, she works hard to live beyond the constraints of her condition.
She's an active member of Triumph Foundation’s St. Jude Support Group, where she shares her experiences, and gets encouragement from her peers - and helps mentor and inspire others with her resilience.
Through her connection with the group, Irma attended our Adaptive Sports Festival discovering one of her favorite activities, handcycling, so she can stay physically fit, have fun with friends, and enjoy the wonders of the great outdoors.
Enhanced Mobility
Recently, Irma acquired a van to enhance her mobility, but the new van didn't have specialized hand controls designed for people with her condition to drive.
So Irma applied for Triumph's Keep Moving Forward Grant. We were thrilled to award a grant to her, installing the necessary device to drive her van.
A Grateful Heart
"A heartfelt thanks to Triumph for the generous grant for my hand controls," said Irma. "I am so very grateful to be independent again! Thank you!!!"
Your Impact
Irma's new freedom was made possible through the generosity of donors like you!
Thank you for being a part of Irma's journey - when you attend our Adaptive Sports Festival you'll get to meet her and hundreds of others who you've helped. Together, we are making a difference.
