Our thoughts are with those affected by the LA wildfires. Itโ€™s now more important than ever to keep hope alive โ€” and come together as a community.

As we move into the New Year, thereโ€™s plenty of FUN events being held by Triumph and our community partners this Winter and Spring.

Below are many amazing opportunities in Southern California.

Handcycling

January 18th in Valencia

Join us for handcycling at our headquarters.

We will have our "stable" of over 30 hand cranked cycles and adapted bikes for people to try riding.

Every Sunday in Burbank

Join us to play wheelchair rugby!

Triumph has practice every Sunday from 9 - 11:30 AM in Burbank.

Plus there's fencing and power soccer at the gym.

We'll provide the equipment and teammates to teach you how to play.

Fencing Clinics

Every week opportunities

Join Coach Geoff Russel and United States Fencing Academy for para-fencing clinics.

This weekend, January 18thโ€”20th, head to the Intercontinental Los Angeles Downtown, for an integrated fencing experience. They'll have a para-fencing booth to try the sport, meet other athletes, and explore the world of adaptive fencing.

And Coach Geoff regularly hosts para-fencing clinics and competitions in Burbank from 10 AM - 1 PM.

All ages and experience levels are welcome, and they'll provide the equipment and teach you the sport.

NatureTrack Foundation

January 18th, February 22nd, March 22nd, and more!

NatureTrack Foundation will showcaseย the Freedom Trax at several beaches coming in 2025.

The Freedom Trax can used on a manual wheelchair and quickly transform it into a battery-powered all-terrain vehicle that easily traverses beach sand and trails.

Nature Track enables wheelchair users and those with a physical disability access and explore beaches and trails.

Festival of Human Abilities at the Aquarium

January 25th - 26th

Join the Aquarium of the Pacific for its annual Festival of Human Abilities.

This special celebration highlights the creative talents and abilities of people with disabilities.

Experience live performances and demonstrations by disabled dancers, musicians, and artists.

PLUS enjoy the amazing aquarium!

Burbank Adaptive Sports Expo

February 15thย 

Sign up to attend the 2nd annual Burbank Adaptive Sports Expo.

All athletes are welcome, including mobility impaired, blind, and developmentally.

Activities include tennis, power soccer, fencing, disc golf, blind soccer, dance, and much more!

Triumph will be hosting wheelchair rugby and basketball.

FREE and all equipment needed will be provided.

LA Adaptive Sports Fair

February 23rdย 

Join the LA Adaptive Sports Fair, this FREE EVENT is designed to empower individuals impacted by gun violence.

Location: Ted Watkins Park: 1335 E 103rd St. Los Angeles, CA 90002

Experience an exciting day filled with adaptive sports like wheelchair football, basketball, tennis, boccia, and para-fencing.

Live music, a DJ, and incredible performances. Delicious food and access to local resources for those affected by gun violence.

Adaptive Shooting

Apple Valley Gun Club and Triumph partnered to hold special adaptive shooting clinics for people with disabilities.

Participants will learn about gun safety, self-defense, marksmanship, and the sport of target shooting.

Roll & Rally Sports Blast

March 15th

Join Triumph,ย The Perfect Step,ย Casa Colina Outdoor Adventures and Wheelchair Sports Programย for the 1st annual Roll & Rally Sports Blastย onย at theย Claremont Club!

This fun, family-friendly event is an inclusive celebration of adaptive sports, featuring activities like tennis, wheelchair rugby,ย and OTL baseball.

Everyone is welcomeโ€”people with and without physical disabilities are encouraged to participate together. Donโ€™t miss this chance to get active and build community!

Wheelchair Sports Festival

April 26th - 27th

Join us for our Wheelchair Sports Festival. It's Triumph's largest event of the year, featuring more than a dozen sports and activities.

The event is FREE, all-inclusive, and a whole lot of FUN.

RAMP Handcycling

Recreation Access Motivating People (RAMP)ย Handcycling conducts FREE hand cycling clinics in the Huntington Beach area on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00am - 1:00pm.

They have a variety of handcycles and adaptive cycles for you to use. Cyclists of all abilities are welcome to join.

Wheelchair Basketball

There's opportunities to play Wheelchair Basketball all over SoCal.

UCLA Adaptive Recreation has open-play clinics every week.

Casa Colina Outdoor Adventures

Casa Colina's Outdoor Adventures & Wheelchair Sportsย are hosting AMAZING activities every month.

They empower people with disabilities by creating opportunities through challenging and exciting outdoor activities. Emphasizing ability over disability, the program lets participants experience success both physically and emotionally.

Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra

Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra (DSES)ย is located in Mammoth Lakes and provides coaching and instruction in a variety of adaptive sports to challenge and empower athletes all year long whether gliding down a snow-covered mountainside, cruising on a bicycle, or paddling across a placid lake.

The Unrecables is the Los Angeles chapter of DSUSA. From December to May, They have monthly weekend ski trips to Mammoth Mountain for our members with disabilities.

Challenged Sailors San Diego

Challenged Sailors San Diego provides therapeutic and recreational adaptive sailing opportunities for people with disabilities to enhance their dignity, well- being, and independence.

Go sailing in the San Diego Bay.

San Diego

San Diego has lots of fun community events to get involved with!

There's surfing, rock climbing, basketball, dance, golf, and more.

And Triumph has two new SCI groups in Palomar and Encinitas. Plus plans to host events in San Diego later this year!

Northern California

NorCal SCI provides information, and programs for those dealing with a SCI and living in the Northern California area. They also host many events and informative webinars that are FREE to join.

BORPย is an adaptive sports and recreation program that takes place in Berkeley and across the Bay Area; activites include cycling, kayaking, rugby, power soccer and more!

TheLionheart.Communityย empowers people living with paralysis by offering adaptive recreation like bowling, pool, hiking, biking, rafting, camping and more. TLCโ€™s programming is centered in the Sacramento Metro Area, expanding into surrounding counties and states, and also includes support and local resources.

Kelly Brush Foundation Active Project

Theย Active Projectย is an online community for people to learn about adaptive sports across the United States, find places to try them, and connect with others so that everyone can enjoy an active life.

Our Over-the-Line Wheelchair Baseball Tournament at Barry A. Sanders Sports Fiel. Over 36 people with disabilities, including children, adults and Veterans, will participate in this modified baseball game.
